Janet is amazing! I had just moved into a new townhouse, and for whatever reason, was acutely allergic to something(s) and could not spend any time at home. I immediately consulted Janet, and ended up seeing her 4 or 5 times in span of 2 weeks. Almost immediately I felt a change, and now I am almost entirely allergy free. I strongly recommend Janet for anyone who wants to CURE their allergies.

P.S. The needles only feel like a miniature pinch. After a minute or two, you don\'t even feel anything anymore. It\'s actually a relaxing experience! In the summer of 2009, I initially sought out treatments for back pain and low energy level due to stress. After going through a series of health questions, Janet suggested getting treatments for food allergies too as this would help with energy. I was very impressed by how quickly she could determine what I was sensitive to and how easily she could treat it. Along with acupuncture and herbs, Janet suggested ways to incorporate ergonomics, exercise and good eating habits to help with the back pain and overall health. She has not only been my acupuncturist... she\'s been a Life Coach for me. Since I\'ve started seeing Janet, I feel way less stressed, more in tune with what my body is telling me (IE \"you need to stretch!\"), and confident of the plan I have in place to maintain my health. Even though it\'s more of an effort to get to her office from San Jose, I really feel it\'s worth it. I also like that Janet is focused on health maintenance and prevention and will continue to see her to help me focus on that too.

I highly recommend Janet of Diwa. She\'s not only a great acupuncturist, but she has a great energy about her. She is a joy and she helped put me at ease from day one. I came to see Janet because had been suffering from seasonal allergies for as long as I can remember. I was simply was fed up with taking allergy medication every single day just to treat the symptoms. I hated the drowsiness and fatigue as a result of taking the allergy medicine. On a recommendation from a friend, I came to see Janet because I figured acupuncture would at least provide a drug-free alternative. Not only that, but I learned it would treat the cause of my allergies and not just the symptoms. After suffering for years, I was doubtful anything would cure my allergies. I had been suffering for so long, though, and I was desperate to try anything. Since the first day I met Janet, she always presented herself as friendly, professional and courteous. She was calming in presence and was extremely attuned to the body\'s energy. On the first visit, she performed an initial examination similar to what you would receive at a doctor\'s office. Then she thoroughly explained how the process would work over the subsequent weeks. When it came to the course of treatment, she started off by treating me for food sensitivities. This helped to build up my immune system prior to treating me for the environmental allergens (pollens, weeds, grass, trees, and animal dander). After just a few weeks into the treatment, my body already started feeling different. My body felt like it was functioning more smoothly, like I just gave my body a tune up and an oil change. I felt balanced and more at peace overall with all of life and not just with my allergies. Admittedly, throughout this treatment, I was skeptical. Would it really work? After just 12 short weeks of treatment, my 35 years of suffering from seasonal allergies - along with the skepticism - gradually melted away. Less than half way through the 12 weeks, in the middle of the height of allergy season, I started taking less and less allergy medicine. Rather than taking medicine everyday, it became once or twice a week. By the end of the treatment, I no longer needed to take any allergy medicine at all! I used to dread heading outdoors during the spring. Now I look forward to it! I have Janet to thank and I am so grateful I was recommended to her in the first place. I now recommend her to anyone willing - or even unwilling - to try a drug free alternative. Acupuncture is awesome and I am now a total believer!

As my first and only acupuncture experience, I don\'t have anything to compare this to, but Janet is lovely. And, most importantly, I\'m actually sleeping again - something that no medication or other remedy could fix. So, to recap: sleeping is better than not sleeping and Janet is better than all other sleep cures. I\'m officially a life-long acupuncture-er.

I highly recommend Janet and DIWA. This was my first acupuncture experience so I wasn\'t sure what to expect. I went in with shoulder pain that had become debilitating. After one session I noticed improvement. I continued with regular sessions and regained complete use of my shoulder - I am extremely satisfied! Janet is also very kind, the office is conveniently located near the Powell Bart station, and I look forward to the sessions.
